What is your approach to photography?
A physicist by day, I approach each shoot with a fundamental understanding of light and a complete technical grasp of my tools. I aim to capture the feeling of every moment, and reproduce and enhance it through careful editing. I look at photography as a means towards creating the image I'm looking for, and I'm always searching for new ideas, techniques, and opportunities to create stunning art photos. You can count on me to be aware of the state of the art in photography and to always be trying to push the envelope -- all while capturing the essence of your experience for you to savor forever.
Do You Offer Engagement/couples' shoots?
Yes! Any wedding package includes a complimentary engagement shoot, and I also offer standalone engagement and proposal shoots for clients who prefer to order their photographs à la carte.
What packages do you offer?
Good news for you, I'm flexible! I'm happy to work with my clients to put together a package that fits their needs and budget. For your event, I can do anything over 4 hours -- for weddings I'm available at full day rates for up to 12 hours as needed. Couples' shoots can be as short as an hour, depending on what you're looking for.
When should I book for my wedding/Event?
Ideally, the photographer should be one of the first vendors you look at booking, right after the venue. I only shoot part-time, so if you have a date in mind, I'd recommend inquiring early. Your best bet to get your ideal timing is to reserve at least six months in advance, and it's customary to book at least a year ahead! Can we travel for our engagement/wedding photos?
I'm based out of the Edmonton area, and will travel locally. Elsewhere in Alberta, we can talk about it. Head over to CONTACT and shoot me a line so we can work out the details!
What is your experience level photographing weddings?
I won't lie, I'm new at this. I've been shooting the world around me for just over a year, and just started doing weddings the Summer of 2026! Don't let this deceive you, if I'm good at anything, it's getting good at stuff quickly. However, I understand this can be a bit scary, and so this inexperience is reflected in my rates.
If you really like my eye and just want me as a supplementary shooter, I'm also available as an associate photographer for reasonable day rates.
When can we expect our photographs?
Not being a full-time professional photographer, this actually works in your favour! I only take on as many clients as I feel like working with, so my editing queue isn't particularly long and I work on your photos in my spare time. I can't offer an exact timeline, but you can usually expect your pictures back within six weeks (but I'm often quite a bit quicker than that)! If you need one or two sneak peeks right away though, I'm usually able to get a few pics to you within 48 hours of your event.
Can I purchase a print?
For client galleries, you retain full lifetime print rights, so you don't have to! Feel free to share your photos, and take them to any printer of your choosing. Of course, you're more than welcome to purchase prints from me as well.
